Food:  When feeding your Maine Coon cat you want to provide a well balanced diet. A well balanced diet contains a ratio of protein, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.
Dry foods are the ideal primary food.  Feeding your feline only dry food, could make your feline alittle more thirsty.  Canned foods are okay as long as it is not their main source.

Water:  Your feline should have access to clean, fresh water at all times. Check their water daily to make sure that it maintains its cleanliness. A fresh flow drinking fountain constantly circulates the water keeping it cleaner, however, when using a drinking fountain your Maine Coon cat may "play" in the water stream.

Bowls:  When purchasing bowls for your Maine Coon cat it is important to remember that your feline should have wide and shallow bowls. Most Maine Coon cats do not like their whiskers to touch the inner walls of their bowls.  With each feeding, remember to always clean their bowls before refilling them.

Treats: Maine Coon cats love their treats as much as we do. Experts recommend that cat treats make up no more than 10% of the total calories of your cats diet. There are many different types of treats for your feline, a few examples are: catnip treats, crunchy treats, dental treats, soft treats, meat treats and pill pockets. You can experiment with different treats until you discover the kind your cat favors.  When feeding your cat healthy treats, you should  always remember that moderation is key!
